How To Schedule Time at the Farm

To make a reservation, please fill out this form

Upon receipt of a request, if the farm is available during the requested dates, the scheduler will send confirmation of the reservation along with an attachment including house rules. If a reservation is made during hunting season, it will be noted on the calendar.

Reservation dates will be logged in the same manner as hotel reservations, spanning arrival date and date of departure.  Consequently, the calendar may look like there are overlapping reservations even though the groups are arriving and leaving at different times on the same day.

Rules for Family Reservations

Whole House and Parties of Six or More

During peak the summer and fall, whole house reservations cannot exceed 10 days (two weekends + one week).

If the whole house is being requested over a major holiday, such as Thanksgiving or Christmas, a message will go out to the Membership and entire family letting everyone know that the reservation is being considered. The email may be sent by the family/individual reserving or the scheduler.

A fee of $100 will be charged for whole house reservations or for groups of 6 or more.  This fee covers the cost of cleaning supplies.

Payments for farm reservations can be made here.  Alternatively, payments of cash or by check should be left at the farm in the Guest Instructions Book. Checks are made payable to “73 Strong Road LLC”. The bill payer, currently David Strong, should be notified so the check can be picked up.

Pets

Dogs are the only pets allowed at the farm and only when accompanied by family groups. The following guidelines apply:

  • Only dogs allowed; no other pets

  • Maximum one dog in the house at a time

  • The downstairs bedroom is the designated dog room; dogs should not stay upstairs

  • Dogs should not be allowed on the furniture furniture.  Guests should provide their pet a dog bed or blanket in the family room

Rules for Non Family Reservations

A Member may sponsor a non-family reservation under the following conditions.

Whole House and Parties of Six or More

Whole house reservations for non-family members that are for more than 3 days must be approved by the Membership before dates can be confirmed. Once a request has been received, the scheduler will contact the Membership asking for approval.  The scheduler will let the sponsoring Member know if the Membership approves the dates. The family member is then responsible for contacting the non-family individual or group to confirm the dates, give them information about farm rates, and forward a copy of the house rules.

Non family reservations are limited to 14 people and no pets are allowed. For groups of six or more, the sponsoring member or other membership designee should be on site or available for the duration of the stay.

Reservation Changes

Many family members would like to visit the farm.  The scheduler should be notified of all changes to reservations, including non-family reservations, as they are known.  Be aware that modifications to a reservation will be made only in the event that the change does not affect other existing reservations.  If another group is affected by the requested changes, the party requesting a modification is welcome to call that group to see if a mutually agreeable solution can be reached. Please notify the scheduler with all finalized reservation dates.

It is important that you let the scheduler know if you will not be using a reservation, so that the dates can be opened up for others.

Each year, farm usage is reviewed and the Membership evaluates the reservation process for trouble spots. Please let the scheduler know if there are problems with reservations or farm conditions. It is wonderful to see the farm being used by as many family members as possible so please don’t hesitate to contact the scheduler to get on the calendar!
